Global Macro Hedge Funds are hedge funds that take directional or relative-value positions across major asset classes based primarily on macroeconomic, political and policy analysis.
Overview
Strategies may be discretionary, systematic or hybrid. Their opportunity set includes monetary divergence, fiscal change, inflation, growth, geopolitical events and market dislocations. Results depend on timing and portfolio construction as well as the correctness of a broad economic thesis.
