Definition

Venture Debt & Growth Credit are private-credit strategies lending to high-growth companies whose current cash flow may be limited but whose equity sponsorship, recurring revenue, intellectual property or future financing capacity supports repayment.

Overview

Facilities may finance runway, equipment, acquisitions or working capital and often include warrants, covenants or milestone conditions. Debt can extend strategic flexibility, but it adds fixed obligations and may become difficult to refinance if growth, fundraising or exit timing disappoints.
